1. Delivery via the Baltics. Freight Rate Trends. Vessel Departure Situation. Transit Times. Rail Evacuation from Klaipeda. Truck Evacuation from Klaipeda - News, Nuances, Border Crossing Situation.

Rates are decreasing: for 20-foot containers by approximately USD 250, for 40-foot containers – by about USD 600. Transit times remain at 50-55 days, vessel departures are shifting by 3-4 days. Shipping lines are limiting the acceptance of heavy 20'GP containers, leading to bookings being moved to subsequent vessels due to increased demand for shipments via the Baltics.

Rail evacuation from Klaipeda to Shabany is stable: delivery and empty container return take up to 20 days in total.

Truck evacuation: customs clearance takes 2 days, empty return – about 10 days. Queues persist at the border with Lithuania: Kamenny Log – around 410 trucks, Benyakoni – 440, with a daily processing capacity of about 50 vehicles.

Train departure schedules: Vostochny Port (VMTP) – from two weeks (depending on accumulation), VSC – about 8-10 days.

From September 1st, requirements for commercial documents have been tightened: cargo data must be provided before the container departs from the loading port (the absolute deadline for data submission is 3 days before the vessel with the container arrives at the discharge port); otherwise, the container may be returned to the port of origin or face delays during coordination. Russian Railways has also enhanced control over the transportation of dangerous goods, including the presence of empty packaging.

Rates have decreased: via Kazakhstan by approximately USD 150, via Zabaikalsk – by about USD 200.

Transshipment times remain within: Kazakhstan – 6-14 days, Zabaikalsk – 5-15 days.

With the approaching holidays in China (October 1-8), a rate increase is expected, along with a shortage of space due to restrictions on Ro-Ro vessels, as well as potential delays and cargo accumulation. Delivery to Kolyadichi station is possible on a day-to-day basis. No issues with transport availability have been reported.

5. Delivery via St. Petersburg. Freight Rate Trends. Departure Situation. Transit Times. Nuances.

Ocean freight rates for 20' and 40' containers remain unchanged.

Transit times: 30-35 days via the northern route and 45-50 days via the southern route.

Containerized truck evacuation to Minsk is proceeding within standard timeframes.

Due to high load at the Ust-Luga Container Terminal (KSAP), transit declaration processing times have extended to 1-2 days, referrals for non-intrusive inspection (IDK) and weighing at the KSAP terminal have become more frequent. The First Container Terminal (PKT) and Petrolesport (PLP) terminals process transit declarations in 1 day.

Curtain-sided truck shipments require 3-5 days for transloading and customs clearance, cargo preparation takes at least 3 days.

Evacuation to Kolyadichi is possible on a day-to-day basis. No issues with transport availability are observed.

6. Truck Delivery of Cargo from China. News. Nuances. Situation regarding LCL Consolidation Evacuation to Temporary Storage Warehouses.

For LTL consolidations, transit times have increased to 35 days from the moment of cargo pickup. For the FTL route, a rate increase of approximately USD 500 to Minsk has been noted compared to the previous period. Transit times remain up to 20 calendar days, excluding potential inspections and queues at the borders.

At the China-Kazakhstan border, cargo inspections for Russia and Belarus have become more frequent, trucks can be held for up to two weeks. A shortage of trucks is observed in Manzhouli, which also leads to an increase in the cost of trucking.
