Inter-freight Logistics Department Report as of December 4, 2025
1. Delivery via the Baltics. Rate Movements. Departure Situation. Transit Times. Rail Dispatch from Klaipeda. Truck Dispatch from Klaipeda - news, nuances, situation at border crossings.
Rates for direct rail shipments to Minsk have increased by approximately USD 200. Transshipment times remain within the previous ranges: via Kazakhstan – approximately 5–15 days, via Zabaikalsk – 5–16 days.
Cargoes bound for Russia and Belarus continue to be controlled on the Kazakh section, which is already affecting the coordination of shipments: departure plans remain unconfirmed at a number of stations, leading to an increase in the number of postponements.
Against the backdrop of the pre-New Year period, rates are trending upward, and there are very few vacancies left for December shipments.
2. Delivery via the Far East. Rate Movements. Departure Situation from Ports. Rail Placement. Transit Times. Nuances.
Sea freight rates for the Far East remain unchanged, while rail freight rates have increased. TransContainer has announced an additional indexation from December 1, affecting both 20-foot containers of various weights and 40-foot containers, leading to increased costs for all types of containers.
The situation with departures from Chinese ports remains unstable: delays now reach 5-14 days, and the nearest confirmed shipments are scheduled for mid- to late December. When placing orders by rail, the wait for shipment from Nakhodka and VMTP is about two weeks.
Otherwise, the structure of the route remains the same: capacity congestion persists, and the dynamics in terms of timing and organizational constraints remain unchanged.

3. Direct Rail. Rate Movements. Departure Situation. Situation at Border Crossings. Transit Times.
There are no significant changes in the 20-foot section of the sea, whereas there is a slight increase in the 40-foot section. The average transit time remains in the range of 50-55 days, but due to displacement of arrivals and prolonged processing individual shipments go beyond 65 days; ships' outputs are steadily shifted by 3-4 days. Against the background of upcoming holidays, a general increase in rates for the main types of containers is recorded.
On the railway delivery of Klaipeda-Shabana, delivery times after the arrival of the ship reach up to 15 days with subsequent technological operations and return of empty. There is an acute shortage of rolling stock on the route: waiting for loading is about a week, additional costs for storage and use of containers are possible. The Lithuanian side confirms the planned increase in tariffs since 2026 as part of tax changes.
Car sales remain limited: despite the partial opening of border crossings, the promotion of Lithuanian trailers and semi-trailers on the territory of Belarus remains prohibited, so shipments are only possible through transhipment container or container tent.
In addition, all goods previously scheduled for carriage are diverted to the railway. The rates for the RCD to Koliadici station remain unchanged, but due to the large flow of containers, the waiting time for placing on the platforms and forming of trains has increased, the average transit period has increased from 12-14 days to 22-28 days. This also leads to additional costs for the use and storage of containers.
There is also a land corridor through Latvia and Grigorovshina, but the movement on it is limited to Latvian carriers and trailers, which increases the cost and increases the mileage.
4. Delivery via Novorossiysk. Rate Movements. Departure Situation. Transit Times. Nuances.
In the maritime direction, there is a moderate increase in rates: for 20-foot containers the increase is about 150 USD, for 40-foot - about 200 USD. The delivery times with regard to transcipent remain on average at the level of 45-50 days, significant disruptions in the schedule is not recorded.
On delivery to Minsk, the situation is stable: motor vehicles and container trucks are available, processing and delivery are carried out as planned. However, customs controls have been strengthened: inspections, weighing, administrative offences and fines have increased even for minor discrepancies in checks. Owing to external influences, port and customs problems have increased, resulting in 3-4 days of traffic delays and 2-3 days of transit delays.
Removal of awnings with transhipment through a warehouse or port remains unchanged, but the same restrictions and strengthened control of transit cargo remain. Lengthy transit processing also increases traffic time and may lead to additional costs.
In general, the direction is operating sustainably, handling of cargo is carried out smoothly, but increased control and external factors bring additional risks and delays to the export of containers to Minsk.
5. Delivery via St. Petersburg. Rate Movements. Departure Situation. Transit Times. Nuances.
Sea freight rates remain unchanged. Transit times from Chinese ports are on average 45-50 days, no shifts in the schedule.
Export by container trucks to Minsk is stable: search for cars takes 1-2 days, transit processing is carried out in the standard deadlines, transit time is 1-2 days from the date of loading on the car. Cost and availability of container trucks remain the same.
The tender transports are carried out according to the same schedule: it takes 3-5 days for the transhipment and processing, the preparation of the goods takes at least 3 days. In general, the direction is stable, significant restrictions and changes in logistics are not observed.
6. Truck Delivery of Cargo from China. News. Nuances. Situation regarding dispatch of consolidated shipments to Temporary Storage Warehouses.
The prices of LTL-collected goods are still at the previous period level. In the warehouse in Manchuria, the temperature is around 27°C. In general, weather conditions do not affect the work, but this factor must be taken into account if the goods are stored in warehouses without a temperature regime.
FTL rates also remain at the same level. The first repeat inspections were recorded in Dostyk, which caused concern among carriers. However, there are no mass checks yet: according to statistics, only one car out of twenty is inspected.
In general, the market for road transport remains stable, but there is still a need to monitor the conditions of storage of LTL cargo and monitor possible inspections at key checkpoints.
