Inter-freight Logistics Department Report as of November 10, 2025
1. Delivery via the Baltics. Rate Movements. Departure Situation. Transit Times. Rail Dispatch from Klaipeda. Truck Dispatch from Klaipeda - news, nuances, situation at border crossings.
Rates for direct rail routes remain stable, with minor fluctuations and no clear upward or downward trend.
Transshipment times remain within 5–15 days via Kazakhstan and 5–16 days via Zabaykalsk.
Russia and Kazakhstan continue to tighten control over import documentation, with particular attention paid to SGR, import licenses, veterinary and phytosanitary certificates. All permits must be provided before the container leaves to avoid possible delays in approval and inspection.
2. Delivery via the Far East. Rate Movements. Departure Situation from Ports. Rail Placement. Transit Times. Nuances.
Rates in this direction are showing growth, with increases observed for both 20' and 40' containers against the backdrop of a general shortage of space following the departure of STF from the market.
The situation with shipments remains tense: delays in ships leaving Chinese ports are reaching 5–8 days, and railways are experiencing delays due to a shortage of platforms and technical restrictions on the placement of 20-foot containers.
Train departures from Nakhodka are delayed by 2–3 weeks, and from VMTP by up to two weeks.
Overall, the route is functioning, but there is congestion and a gradual increase in rates, especially on the FESCO and TK lines, which are adjusting their tariffs in line with market changes.
3. Direct Rail. Rate Movements. Departure Situation. Situation at Border Crossings. Transit Times.
The maritime sector has seen an increase in rates compared to the previous period, especially for 40-foot containers. The increase is due to seasonal growth in line loading and limited capacity. The average transit time remains within 50–55 days, but due to ship departure delays and increased processing times, it can reach up to 65 days in some cases.
The situation with rail exports from Klaipėda to Šabanya is generally stable, but there has been an increase in rail traffic due to the temporary closure of road crossings. This has caused a local shortage of rolling stock and queues at the port, which may affect export times. The Lithuanian side has already announced a planned increase in rail tariffs from the beginning of next year.
Road transport is temporarily restricted: the Lithuanian border is closed until the end of November, making road shipments impossible. As a result, all shipments have been redirected to rail.
4. Delivery via Novorossiysk. Rate Movements. Departure Situation. Transit Times. Nuances.
There has been a slight increase in rates for sea freight, with the increase being more pronounced for 20-foot containers than for 40-foot containers. Delivery times, taking into account transshipment, remain at an average of 45-50 days, with no significant disruptions to the schedule.
The situation with exports to Minsk is stable: road transport and container ships are available, and customs clearance and delivery are proceeding as planned. However, customs authorities have tightened controls and inspections on a number of product categories, in particular auto parts in transit, which may lead to minor delays in customs clearance.
Overall, the direction is functioning steadily, cargo processing is proceeding smoothly, and no significant changes in logistics have been observed.
5. Delivery via St. Petersburg. Rate Movements. Departure Situation. Transit Times. Nuances.
There has been a moderate increase in rates in this direction – the increase for 20-foot containers is insignificant, while for 40-foot containers it is slightly more pronounced. Transit times from Chinese ports remain at an average of 45–50 days, with no schedule deviations noted.
The situation with exports to Minsk is stable: it takes 1-2 days to find vehicles, transit formalities are completed within the standard time frame, and transport is running smoothly. The cost and availability of container trucks remain unchanged.
Tent transportation is carried out according to the previous schedule—it takes 3–5 days for reloading and processing, and cargo preparation is carried out in advance.
In general, the direction is functioning stably, with no significant restrictions observed.
6. Truck Delivery of Cargo from China. News. Nuances. Situation regarding dispatch of consolidated shipments to Temporary Storage Warehouses.
The road transport market continues to see upward momentum in rates for both LTL and FTL routes.
There has been a further increase in tariffs and price instability for consolidated LTL cargo, which is due to the continuing shortage of transport.
FTL rates also continue to rise daily, especially on routes through Manchuria, where there is still an acute shortage of vehicles. The situation is more stable through Alashankou – inspections are proceeding as usual, motor transport is available, but the overall trend points to a gradual increase in transportation costs.
