Inter-freight at the Conference Industrial Complex of Belarus Export and Import Independence Discussing the Future of Belarusian Industry
On May 20, a large-scale conference titled «Industrial Complex of the Republic of Belarus: Export and Import Independence» took place in Minsk, bringing together leading experts, government representatives, and key players in the domestic market.
The conference served as an open dialogue on the strategic priorities for developing Belarus’s industrial sector under new economic conditions. During the plenary session and panel discussion, participants addressed issues of technological sovereignty, expanding to alternative export markets, enhancing the competitiveness of Belarusian products, and building effective logistics solutions for operations in Africa, Latin America, and Asia.
Inter-freight proudly participated in this significant event. Our team was represented by Commercial Director Dmitry Samuskov, who delivered a report on logistics and regulation of imports from Europe.

The presentation focused on the real challenges Belarusian companies face when organizing supplies from the EU, as well as ways to effectively overcome them:
Export Declaration Processing in Europe
European customs procedures are far from stable today — rules are constantly changing. That is why each shipment requires an individual approach, a carefully crafted strategy, and backup plans. Classification of goods presents particular difficulties — numerous codes, varying interpretations, and the choice between remote processing or physical presence in the exporting country.
Payments and Currency Regulation
The financial side of transactions with the EU increasingly involves high risks. It is most reliable to work through affiliated banks with proven channels. It is important not to split payments, as this may lead to blocking. Every transaction must be legally transparent and accompanied by impeccably prepared documentation.
Russian Customs and Transit
Transit procedures through Russian ports — Novorossiysk and Saint Petersburg — require special attention. Errors in weights, codes, or wording can result in full unloading of cargo and additional expenses. Therefore, timely document preparation and knowledge of the specifics of each customs point are key to successful border crossing.
Inter-freight’s participation in the conference highlighted the vital role of import logistics as part of economic resilience. Reliable import is not only about uninterrupted supply of components and equipment but also the foundation of stable operation of Belarusian industry.
We thank the conference organizers for providing a professional platform to exchange experience and strategic insights. Inter-freight continues to work proactively — building logistics capable of withstanding any challenges.
